Well, my clutch fried. Hmm. 172K miles and the vehicle's on it's second clutch; the first was replaced at about 60K. Must have either been an abusive driver, a wheeler or possibly they towed with it - the rig's got a nice class iii on the back that looks used.

$810. I've already told the shop to do the work, clutches strand you of course so, it's either shop around and tow it or do the work there. At least this place is an actual transmission shop. The shop warrants work for 12mo/12k, which is pretty standard. Opinions on price? They're using a LUK clutch, no pilot, new TOB, new plate, resurface flywheel. They're also taking care of some light work, RMS, a trasfer case seal and two seals on the transmission itself (I gather exterior ones).

Well, at least I'll be back on the road. Now, if I can just get that darn AC working!
