I have a 02 double cab taco v6 and auto with 71000 miles and was considering changing the oil to amsoil anyone else use this oil or have any experiance with it. I use a stock toyota filter now it that makes a difference.

i have a 98 tacoma with 82000 miles on it, i bought it with 72000 and one of the first things i did was put amsoil in it. My dad has used amsoil on everything he has owned (cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, air compressors,etc..) that requires oil since the early 80s. It is an excellent product. In fact i just got done buying some amsoil for my rear diff. as soon as i get that damn axle seal fixed. I would recommend it if you plan on keeping your truck for a long time!

Thanks for the input I have heard that it is very good and that if I used it in my tranny and axles that it would have me some gas millage.

On the gear lube i just bought it claims to give up to 4.83% more gas mileage. But when you do the math it isnt even 1 more mpg, but i guess every little bit counts with gas prices today.
