Are you on a mission from god or something? I keep a portable air compressor in all of my vehicles, along with a plug kit and plenty of other tools, but have never needed to think about inflating a tire with an airconditioner compressor.

I have not yet converted my AC compressor over to an air pump, but I am REALLY tempted.

Any body with good info?

jajaa !! nop, not at all...
it's just that i have the compressor, not the rest needed for the a/c to work, and i've heard that is very simple way to have pressurize air, and a lot faster than a carry on type compressor....

Howdy Branko I have seen the instructions several times.. They are around here somewhere. Personally If I had a compressor I would have airconditioning! That along with a small 12v air pump would make my day!

Get on Jeepin.com or NAXJA or Pirate and search.

Search "York OBA" or "Sanden OBA"

$400-500 to set up an OBA system in most cases I've seen.

I converted my AC to OBA... It worked pretty well but with an auto it was a pain to keep the engine at 2000 rpms to keep the air pressure up.. If you had a manual or at least a hand throttle it would work very well..

I still have the Compressor on my Jeep but I no longer use it..
I have been meaning to pull it out but I havent had time..

I switched to a VIAIR electric compressor and two storage tanks..
