are the 4.88 and 5.29 high pinion gears still on backorder?

from randys and driveline they are. I called them last week to find out about the 4.88s front and rear and that is what they said. I think it was randy though that said they had an assembled rear high pinion third with a detroit with 4.88s in stock. I don't need another third though. Not including the one in my truck right now I have two sitting in my garage right now.

I dd not say they did not make one, I said they do not make one for the REAR. Try and run one in the rear of your Toyota, I guarantee you will blow it up. Especially if it is a DD. Marlin has tried a few times. I run one in the front. They come out of the front of a LandCruser and the gears will not take running on the coast side of the gears in the rear. this doesnt solve me issue of the gears being on backorder... whyyy? and why for the past like... 3 months. or where can i get a high pinion diff with 5.29 gears and an arb locker?

When I had talked to one of their salesmen a couple of months ago he was telling me that they do have a rear high pinion third. Maybe I misunderstood him, but I don't think so. Sorry for not being clearer before.

talked to marlin he said that they have been on backorder for 6 months and the list for one is longer then... yuh so i decided to get a v6 third with detroit and 5.29 and throw it in my rear and put the 4cyl with lockright lunchboxer in the front again. now i just need to get a driveshaft from highangledriveline.com
