I think it looks great, Chris.
Bummer you had to work through this, but it sounds like you are almost done!

I would have already gone nuts and probably been arrested for assulting an officer.
I'm not kidding that's reduiculous, I've never heard of splitting hairs over non-saftey items.
Honestly who cares if you even fixed the dent in the door? What authority do they have to tell you to fix it. Lot's of people don't fix minor damage such as you had in the door.
I feel your anger.

Are those repairs "Trail Rated."
If you can do those on-the-fly, next Moab ZuZoo, people will leave with better looking trucks than they showed up with.

Holy crap and I though Minnesota is a regulation-heavy state (we certainly are compared to our neighbors, but the Dakotas have next to no regs to speak of. I think the state government in North Dakota is in some guys house. ), but we have nothing to compare to that...we even got rid of our emissions testing.
I would rather break down in the middle of the night in backwater New York and spend 2 days trying to get it repaired than go through what you have...my sympathies.
Oh, and nice work on the Amigo, looks great from here

If it helps, I can show them a worse vehicle with a clean title for comparison.
I was thinking the same thing Joe mentioned, that I would have been arrested. My blood presure is rising thinking about it.
when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

YIKES! - After reading this thread, I just canÆt help but feel somewhat responsible for all of the misery that youÆve sufferedà after all; I was the one that posted the link to that auction.
Hopefully though, your Red Tape Odyssey is almost over nowà
Maybe youÆll get lucky on your next trip, and discover that the office in question is a lot more interested in daydreaming about doughnuts - or perhaps the æcooperativeÆ stripper that they almost arrested the night before.
You deserve betterà That really is some excellent work youÆve done!

First off ... Nice work it looks really good
Man am I glad I don't live back east or westcoast.
My out of state Trooper RS inspection for Kansas was a breeze. He checked the VIN #s on frame and dash against the title. Searched the stolen vehicle database and called it good. Here in Oregon there is no vehicle inspection at all in mowst areas and only emmissions testing in others. Coming from PA, where annual safety inspections are required, I am amazed at the deathtraps on the road. I am not opposed to (in fact, I might even support) annual safety inspections that require decent tires, working brakes, functional windshield wipers, horn and lights (turn signals, brake lights, headlights, etc.), and even an intact exhaust system & glass (some cracked glass would be OK, but nothing too severe). In states without safety inspection, if it starts and runs, you can drive it anywhere. I've seen some incredibly unsafe vehicles on the road. The salvage title ordeal in MA sounds like hell on earth. I'm almost surprised the story didn't end in some sort of raging murder/suicide bloodbath where the Isuzu owner finally snapped and started blowing up state offices. Massachusetts makes California look like Texas when compared to most states.

Can't drive the vehicle until it is insured and registered so atleast one day wait with RMV stuff. It's not like a regular owner transferral where you have 7 days to get it registered/insured. This is a BAD BAD SALVAGE VEHICLE. Soon to become a BAD BAD [color:"red"] SALVAGE - RECONSTRUCTED [/color] vehicle. lock up your daughters and hide your children from the evil salvge vehicle
