This is what happens when socialism gets out of control. It's worse in other countries. In Japan, you have to buy a new car every 5 years or so because the taxes on cars go UP the older it gets. After 4-5 years, the taxes are so high, its cheaper to buy new. No one works on their own cars because they are not worth fixing because of the huge taxes the government puts on them. Can't buy a used car over there. Thats why you can go out and buy a perfectly good used japenese motor. We go over there, cut them out of barely used cars and ship them back here.

Some friends of mine just came back from Japan after living there for 2 years. They said they had to scrap their car, even though there wasn't a thing wrong with it.


The only inspections we have here are emmissions tests and thats only done every two years and only for cars less than 25 years old.
