three trips to pass my 98 amigo (one trip being that the tires were to big)

What does tires "to big" mean? And have to does with what comes out tailpipe? Just CO crazieness?

In colorado, the Emissions Station runs your vehicle up to 55 - 60 MPH to simulate road driving. They use a set of rollers (like on a dyno tester). IF tires are bigger than 33s, they are afraid that the tires will roll/claaw/climb right on over the rollers and the vehicle will suddenly be travelling out the door <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

33s or smaller are required for passenger vehicle and trucks.
