10's will give you better treadwear on the street, but 8's will allow you to drop your psi lower (on the trail) with less risk of losing the bead. $.02

I am reluctant to go the 33x 10.5 route due to more height and not more track (stability). Probably would be OK, though.

Stability is over rated <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

You may never notice a difference between 12.5s and 10.5s. 33x10.5s work just as well on 7" as 8" rims. However they kinda suck on 6" rims and also rubbed.

I would buy 15x8 rims if it was me, because if you ever want 33x12.5s 8" rim is much better than 7".

I'm thinking with the 32x11.5, I'm gaining .5" in height and spreading it another .75" or so. Should only deform it slightly?

Reasonable choice ..... But you really want 33s <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Not a great picture, but i hope you get the idea. My RS on 33x10.5 BFGs 15"x8" rims [Linked Image]

with a little cutting and smashing you can fit 35x12.50's on her. you know you want to

OOhhh the temptation <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

WOW! 1100 for 4. I paid $8 and some change for 5 mounted, ballanced and life time rotation and ballance. I have a quirk about having a different spare. I'm a little <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> like that.

I would, but wheels aren't in the budget right now. Tires aren't, either, I'm going to milk these 31x10.5 Kumhos I have until they are just about bald. I think they will carry me into, maybe through, winter.

What I'm getting at is if I should plan on reinstalling the 1.5" or so lift that I took out a few months ago and come up with a crafty way to keep the ass end in check (rear axle would wander since the shims defeated the axle locator pins).

You have to remember I'm in Canada here , the prices are outrageous for a lot of things , especialy gas <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />
When I said 1100 , that was for 4 tires and 4 rims , installed , balanced and mounted , taxes included.Here in town I can't even get 4 31" just tires for 1100 , so this is a deal for me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I have 33x12.5's ....

Well worth the rub for the look to me, but not really feasible to take off road.

.... "the look" ..... .... you have 33's and don't even consider going off road?

gah!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

Also, does anyone know if a 12.5" tire recommended for an 8 or 9" min rim width will fit on a 7" OK? Will I have problems keeping a bead (I would think not, though the tire shop might not like me much).

I run 33x12.5/15 Firestone destination MTs on the 15x7 Snowflakes. Never lost a bead. Tire wear has been ok w/ limited hwy usage (2000 miles/year). These pics might help
