It kept it very very cool. I had it hooked up with the manual switch so I could control it. Which I rarely had to do here in San Diego. It ran cool (also after installing a new radiator). On hot days when I went to visit my family out in Yuma, Az. where it was reaching temps of 110-115, it ran COOL. It really does work for what you pay. Sounds loud enough to propel the truck foward. And no, I never had a problem with it either.
