You could get a piece of steel mesh about 3" or so around. Take the filler neck off the tank and hammer the mesh into the neck with a broom stick handle. Put it far enough down to not interfere with the gas pump nozzle. (3" or so) This will prevent any hose from going down into the tank. Good luck, killem if you catchem.
