Aha! I knew I shouldn't have cut that stupid lip off <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the help Darin. So I should be tapping on the sleeve far enough so the lip sits flush with the forward end of the crank flange? Or just to the place that the lips of the seal will ride on? I measured everything out very precisely the first time and it ended up nt having to be tapped all the way back.
