What is the idle speed supposed to be for a 1990
V6 trooper when stopped and in "Drive" (loaded up)?

My trooper idle speed seems to be about 500-600 rpms?
Which is not enough to keep the compressor clutch engaged at stop lights (when i need the a/c the most). the clutch engages if i increase the idle speed to around 1000-1200 rpms or if i put the trucke in park?

I guess it coudl be the a/c clutch?

Anyone ever remove the a/c clutch while the compressor is mounted to the vehicle?

what type of tools do you need?
