No, it's smooth, but what it will do is surge up and down by a few hundred RPM ... this evening I noticed that when I came out from work and started the truck. I was trying to hold at 1500 RPM and it would surge from around 1200 up to 1500. Did this for 3 minutes or so before smoothing out. I think if I had that sputtering I would look at the EGR valve or the BPT ...
