Roll Me Over
So.. now that the truck is painted (pics will be up this week).. time to address the next issue... the clutch.
I think i will stick to OEM.

Anyone got any reasons to go to a 1600 ft/lbs pressure plate or ceramic disc for a dd?

Went to the dealership and priced it out to about 600 CAD, yah no way.
Marlin's are 199 + shipping, probably around 325-350CAD after it gets accross the border (if they ship to Canada).

My question, is there any place cheaper than Marlin, and more specifically, in Canada?

Thanks guys.

Marlin's clutches are top shelf in my book, but if you want to avoid border fees maybe you can find a Centerforce in your neck of the woods?

Body Damage is Cool
In my opinion, the stock clutches work just fine. Mines lasted through one hell of a beating, and its still over 50% (I'm looking at it - moters out). Especially on rocks where you want to slip the cluch a little. For the 22's, centerforces are waaay to grabby. I have a freind with a stage II behind her 22R, and its painful. Plus, its easy to replace clutch... only 3-6hours depending on your experience.

just my opinion,

Scerb

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I bought my Centerforce Stage I clutch kit from North Shore Off Road here in B.C. for $295 CAN after tax. Included everything minus a pilot bearing. I'm quite happy with it, and figured it'd be the best choice to use seeing as the 22R cranks have such thin thrust washers. (I've heard about people running into issues with that when using a really heavy duty clutch or Centerforce dual-friction).

I'm not sure if you can order thru them online, but it may be worth a try if you can't find any good deals in your area.

I bought my clutch from all-foreign.com, and have been pleased. It is a factory replacement, full setup for about $120 USD, and it feels great. It is an Asco I believe (should be factory clutch).
