Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have a 94 4x4 x-cab and would like to mount these Hella lights. I have looked at a Pre-runner bars and tried a Carr wing bar and that did't fit. Anybody mount lights by making a bracket that bolts to the frame under the front grille. The pre-runner or BAJA bars seem to be the best bet. Yes, I would buy a winch bumper from TJM or ARB, but my wife said she'd leave me if I bought one, so I have to be Cheap. Any Idea's would be helpful?

Hey man... I mounted those same lights on a homemade light bar. Its basically a piece of 1/4"x2" steel flat bar, with holes drilled in to mount to the front license plate tabs, and holes on the ends for the lights... I have pics with old lights, but cant post them...

Body Damage is Cool
drill holes under the the bumper next to the license plate. if you get one of the baja bars i would reccommend a biger light the dont quite fill up the space in the bar. i have 8" procomp 130 watt lights on my bar and it fill up the space in between the bar.. ytou can also mount upto 6 lights on it

You want cheap? Here is the ultimate in cheap - a piece of angle iron bolted to the bumper! It's a bit shakey, but works fine. Although I have replaced the lenses several times from bashing them into things!

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Thanks everybody, I'm trying to put this road trip together, from Baltimore to Seattle by the way of Hwy 40 to Albuquerque and than North thur Colorado into the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone check out Sun Valley on the way to Oregon and final jump up to Seattle. My truck is built for long hours on the road and is very comfortable, but with the capable bravado to drive rough fire roads from Crested Butte to Aspen or to find very remote places to ride my bike and enjoy retirement. I have received so much information from this forum to help with the improvement of my truck. There noway it would look or run as well, if it wasn't for everybody's contributions. Thanks

Once you get north of Denver, try and get off the roads at night. Deer and antelope will ruin your day. Got AAA?

There's a state highway which parallels I90 in WY if you jump off I25 to go to YS and Teton NP's. Great drive thru the Peace/Windy River country. You'll love the view at the summit before you drop down into the Parks too.

Thanks, Yeah deer can be a big problem. I have installed deer whistles and they really work great for driving in deer country at night. After I get these lights installed I should be able to see pretty good at night. I have Hella headlights now with 130/90 watt high/low and they light up the sides of the road very well and with the combo of these driving lights I should be able light up the road like high noon on a cloudless day.
