the wheels that i am getting are 16" wheels, so just to clarify any confusion with those who run 15"s

Well I checked American Eagle tires website & it looks like Alex is running 4.5" of backspacing on his 16x8 rim. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

My wheels have +2mm offset. I would stay in that range for 285s.
Ray you should check tirerack.com, they have them in stock, there are plenty (almost all) of manufacturers present with tire of this size.

Also. Neverminde special deal I got on wheels and tires I specifically wanted 285s over regular 33x12.50/R15.

It does not matter if they are 15 or 16 inch rims.

In case you're wondering... here's a link to the full spec's on Alex's wheels, per the manufacturer's website...

His rim p/n is 1499-7865 & 1499-7866 (different for left & right rims).

Just make sure the rims you buy rims have a similar spec and you should be okay. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
