You'd be surprised how many think that WD-40 is a good penatrating oil. I don't think it does much penatrating. Most auto parts stores have it now. Joe Yep, WD-40 isn't really a penetrating oil... at least that's not what it was designed for. WD-40 got it's name because the guy who invented it was trying to invent a corrosion inhibitor, by displacing water. On his 40th mix, he got what he wanted it... so his "Water Displacement" on his "40th" try got WD-40 it's name. While it does offer some penetrating capabilities, it's not as good as other products, such as PB Blaster, etc..
