Ive got a 40 series flowmaster muffler and Headers right now, i want a 2.5 inch cat back system so i can get a little more torque than ive got with my too loud 3 inch system, what would be a good way to go, i plan on bending it myself...

Wow, 3inch? Your loooosing power with that. 2.5 is perfect I say.

Do you have the headers and exhaust already? And if your going to bend it yourself, are you going to use a mandrel pipe bender? If not, I recommend haveing someone who does bend it that way.

If I still had my T100 I would have junked my 40 series FlowRestrictor muffler and gone back to an OE cat-back with my TRD headers.
If I needed a little more power at low end I would have then replaced just the muffler with a Gibson supper flow or a Magnaflow muffler.

I'm currently doing this with my Tundra. The JBA headers have been on for about a week.
The more I drive the more the ECU adjusts and the better the power gets.

I have a stainless steel Gibson super flow muffler ready to weld in place of my OE muffler just in case...

Well, I know that the 3.4's have more of a throaty sound already compared to the 3.0. But in your experiance, what is the throatiest-sounding muffler for these 6 Cylinders that you have heard?

I base my choice on performance but the sound froma Dynomax or Magnaflow is pretty throaty. The Gibson is more of a woosh sound.

I hope that helps.

Yeah, I'm just still searching for a muffler for my truck.

I just heard my G/f's dad's 90' 4runner, he has headers, and stock everything else. It sounds deep, and is pretty quick.

I just wan't a good-sounding, nice performance giving muffler.
If ya know what I mean

Understood.
If you have headers:
I would spend the $115.00 or so dollars and install a new OEM
Toyota cat-back muffler/tailpipe and run with it for a few thousand miles.

If at that time you want more sound and performance look into welding in a new muffler

If you don't have headers replace just the muffler with a Dynomax, Magnaflow or Gibson. You will get more sound without killing any performance.

Well, my muffler, and whole exaust system is in good shape right now. I just wanted to, at first do a 2.5 inch cat-back, with muffler, but my buddy is gettin' a mandrel pipe bender next month, so I was gonna go from the crossover back 2.5 inch, with a new muffler.

I like the sound of the OEM set up, I like it alot, its unique, but I just wish it was more intense (SP?).

Yes they do. It comes to you in one easy to bolt on pipe and muffler combo.
The last price I saw @ my dealer was about $115.
I'm not sure but I think the pipe diameter is 2.25"
