I saw this post and was surprised not to see a 2.25" recommendation. When I originally got my TRD header and cat-back, the TRD tech/engineer I spoke with said the 2.5" option was for non-header applications or for when they also installed the supercharger. I explained that I pulled a 3500# boat and didn't want to lose ANY low-end torque. He insisted that I get the 2.25" cat-back in combination with their header to keep the torque curve similar to stock. The most obvious benefit after the upgrade was that a previous flat-spot in second gear on my automatic-equipped truck seem to be replaced by much better acceleration. Brew

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Brew and others,

So what would you recommend for one who doesn't have headers and does have a SC? Also, I'm curious if you'd recommend headers along with the SC to help it breathe?
IOW, What would be the best combination for a 3.4L T with a SC?

From what I've heard you need the headers and can open it up to 2.5". The SC will give you plenty of low-end.
However if I wanted maximum grunt, I'd probably stay with 2.25" and the header. Brew

p.s. - The only guy to do any dyno testing was William Gabay down in Louisville, KY. He bought my wheels and tires so I know he still checks the boards. Hey William, what do you think?

Need a Spot
I'm currently running JBA headers stock pipes and a reverse flow turbo muffler (Dyno max clone). I pulled the fuse for the ECM after installation and after a hundred miles or so of driving am very impressed with the difference. So impressed I'm in the middle of installing LSD to help with the spinning tires. The exhaust is a nice low berble. I had a bad seal where the stearing shaft went through the fire wall. I was surprised at the woosh sound the new headers produced. So much so I checked a couple of times thinking it was an exhaust leak. I fixed the seal and the THHHHHHHHHH sound is all but gone.
