and I see they want 109 for poly coil spacers that don't amount to much more than a pair of roller skate wheels
obviously then, your other option would be to invest the time and research into developing them yourself. i'm sure roller skate wheels are plentiful.
and 80 for 1/4" plate spacers that I could easily fab given I had a drawing.
well, you should have everything you need to know available on your truck to fab these up. Surely you don't need a CAD drawing to figure this out.
So I guess what Im getting at is I need more specific details/instructions
you really should do your homework first. this board is very willing to help those with specific questions regarding Isuzu's and those wanting to wrench on the truck, but no one is going to help you take any short cuts or hand feed you, especially at the cost of the vendors which support this community.
as ready made kits in my opinion are at least double what they should be.
well i guess we all have our opinions don't we. you certainly can't expect vendors who offer these kits to charge you only their cost in parts. thats not how the world works.
Lastly in reading threads I find that it is often assumed that everyone knows all the terms where as alot of us newbies have had little exp with suspensions and sometimes need to be pointed to specific diagrams/directions/manuals.
ask specific questions and you will get specific answers. being a newbie still isn't an excuse not to do your homework.
I read this myself and realize it sounds whiny/bitchy but it is CERTAINLY not intended to.
I just think you fail to see the importantance that vendors like DOR and Indy4x play in this arena. Especially when you're a small nitch of the market like Isuzu's are. We are a group that definitely promotes DIY and innovation, but that doesn't mean even those of us that have lots of experience and tons of resources at our hands don't rely on the vendors. Some times it just boils down to certain parts aren't worth your time or money to produce, as vendors are more resources at hand and are dealing in quantities.
