Just look at what adjusting the notched wheel on the AFM does, and that pretty well tells you the effect on the engine. In carburetor terms, it's no different than replacing the jets. So you've faintly richened the mixture up. That isn't going to end the world in your engine. Engines running slightly rich don't inherently burn up. They also don't inherently produce more power.
