I don't know about anyone else, but I've had it with cheap parts stores like Checker/Shucks/Krager stores. It used to be I could get remanufactured parts that would last as long as factory new parts. Lately, I've had nothing but failures from Checker. I had to replace my water pump again after only ten thousand miles on the one I got from Checker. What a pain. When I took it off and spun the impeller shaft it felt as rough and loose as one with 250,000 miles on it!
That's not even the half of it. I got two oil pumps from Checker and both of them failed. One had very low pressure and the other has a cracked housing so it leaks oil out of one of the bolt sleeves.
It's not over yet. Two months ago I took my brake rotors to Checker to have them cleaned up prior to a brake job on my 97 4runner. They screwed them up so bad, they felt like they had rotor run-out. They were perfectly smooth before. They just needed the ridges cut. How do you screw that up? So I had to buy new rotors.
I am done with them and all which are like them.
