A lot of people plow thier driveways up here with 5' wide plows on a four wheeler including me, so I think a Sportage could easily handle a 6 or 7 footer for personal use. PS SnowBear Plows have a listing for a Chev Astro minivan.

chevy astrovans are beefy for a van. 12-bolt rear axle, at least a v-6 engine and full frame. the rear suspension is even leafs. it also weighs more than the sportage and has been used frequently in the past as a cargo truck. i would say it would be a better truck for plowing snow, most days, but then again, i've never plowed snow. as far as plowing your driveway? i don't see a problem with it in the sportage, but you will likely have to have something fabricated to fit a plow blade (i can prolly do that, by the way, if you insist on having it), just not a good idea to make a business of it, that's all, oh, and watch out for clogging the radiator, it could easily over-heat the sportage.

95 Sportage w/welded and 5.89 geared dana 44's on 38.5" TSL's.- SADLY SOLD
CURRENTLY - 2000 sportage, 5.38 gears, welded diffs, 35" tires, 5.5" lift
