Anyone have experience with the new OME 906 rear coils? These provide less lift than the 891s and may eliminate the need to run spacers up front for an even lift.

285's rub like crazy without top out spacers up front. With the sway bar disconnected they rub all over the back of the fender under stuff with the OME front set up. Go the full 2.25 or prepare to cut a fair amount out of the inner fender... dos centados.
I run top outs with no trimming (except the tire "forming" the stock flap) and the tire still rubs a little under full compression.

So maybe I cut/pounded more than other people in the front wheel wells, but I did actually run 285/75R16's on 16x8's for a short while with only about 1.5" of lift in front. I didn't have a problem with rubbing. So even if the rear is shorter than expected, I still think you could deal with it OK in the front.
Back to the topic of 906's in the rear, I think they sound like a great idea since some people get more lift then they want in the rear even when using the 890's. (I've heard 2.75" with 890's when there's no other mods). Go for it with the 906's and be sure to report back.

Is my impression correct that the 880/881s up front provide slightly over 2" of lift and the 890/891s in the rear provide closer to 3" (thus the need for a 1" spacer up front)?
I might try the 880/881s with no spacer and 906s in the rear along with a set of 265/75R16 (32") Dueler ATs and see how it works on the trail. Taking the leap to a 3" lift and 33" mud terrains might be too much of compromise on driveability and gas mileage with the stock 4.10 gears, not to mention the crawl ratio won't exactly be desireable since I have a manual trans.
I want the suspension to be slightly stiffer (~20%) than it is now--if I should be going a different route such as the Tundra TRD coilover setup up front in lieu of the OMEs, let me know!

It would be a nice setup. I wouldn't expect much lift but for 265s it should be fine and definately stiffen things up a bit. As for the 892s giving 3" I would say its more like 2.5 to 2.75"
The tundra lift without spacers would probably yield the same results as you are planning height wise.
