Even if the stuff prevents the oil from smoking when it burns, it doesn't mean that it's fixed the problem - you'd still be burning oil. You seem to be thinking along the lines of "out of sight, out of mind" which is exactly the crowd this product is marketing to. That kind of thinking will get you in deep trouble with an 3.5L SR. On top of oil, you'd also be burning money at $12.50/qt! Just because it's stopped producing visible fumes won't mean that it's stopped burning the oil. You'll still need to feed the vehicle at the amount you're burning it and that can add up!

Save the money you were going to spend on snake oil and have the problem fixed. That's my advice.
