I put a 4.3 in to get away from high rpm power, and hoses, and pipes, and intercoolers, and junk everywhere.

Believe me!! I think turbos are cool.... just not in a 4wd truck.

I have had both.. I like low end grunt.

Wiring succesfully blended.
With the fuel pump unpowered, I turned the key and cranked the engine, the alternator light works, the oil press light work. Heck, even the headlights work (custom wiring there too).
It's got PHIL's "ol betsy"'s V6 gauge cluster and looks like it's showing everything in the correct places.

Front diff is now a V6 diff with an RD110 inside. Tomorrow I'll test the compressor and lockers switches.

33x12.5's are on.

Waiting on the custom rad, and still need to order the driveshafts.

...nearly there, looks good.

ETA?
Well, my boss wants me back at my desk after next week...

Yes, the fuel gauge "trick" was done!
The 4 cyl and 6 cyl gauges were "blended" to take advantage of both, but mostly it's the 6 cyl gauges (eg, it uses the Hi-Beam light under the tach).
There were many wrinkles that the Docter hadn't encountered especially as his was/is M/T, and mine was/in A/T.

Shifter is the stock Mitsu A/T lever, with the linkage modified and greatly simplified and "adjusted" to make it mechanically shift all 4 forward gears on the 4L60E.
Felt quite firm and precise when I last checked it!
A lot of time, math, metal fab skills, advice, and good old fashioned trial and error made it possible.

A LOT of time poured into it so far.\

...Oh yeah.
My 2.6 was sold locally, and is currently on the road making another driver very happy! Good re-build with a lotta miles still in `er.
