Hello again. I got my hands on a used weber carb off a 2.6 standard but need some instructions or tips how to get it on mine. Is there a write up somewhere. These vacuum lines are giving me a headache.

First, which weber is it? You can go to Carbs.net or RedlineWeber to ID it. It could be a 32/36 DFV, 32/36 DGV, or 38 dgas. BTW there will be one vaccume hose hooked to the Weber and that will be the Vacc advance to the carb, all the rest are obsolete, including the ECU under the blower motor under the passenger dash.
You will need the Redline adapter plate to mount the Weber to the mitsu intake. You will also need the throttle cable bracket to move it over on the valve cover.

The 2.6 Mikuni works really well when it works. And mine is working well. The vacume lines on that thing on the other hand.

That's a 38 dgas. It tends to create more low end power and less gas milage. Both barrels open evenly, unlike the other two I mensioned. If you end up not wanting it, let me know what you want for it. I would like to have it for myself.
I see how the throttle cable attached to the valve cover, you want the whole bracket and the plate that says Redline on it at the base of the carb. Lucky dog. If you do not want any of it I am interested. I know a guy that needs the throttle bracket. That is a Thorly exaust header and a new fan clutch too. Somebody hit a goldmine

My Dad went a little crazy when he saw my Raider and purchased the other 3. That Blue one donated it wheels and bumper to mine.

We haved gutted the interior and put it in his camo one. The red one has the engine in pieces behind it but the interior is intact. Dad wants to do a frame up with the blue one and put the red body on it.

Course he is still looking for the parts for a turbo conversion. The blue engine turns over but doesnt start course it is missing alot of electrical components

I just had to put an igniter in mine this weekend. $110 for a part smaller than my thumb. If you have any questions just ask. There are others here with them too. Carbs.net is a retailer for Redline weber and you can get jets gaskets, fuel cutoff solinoids choke parts ect from them, as well as snorkel adapters. I bought the K&N model adapter and run a Dakota airbox setup instead of the open filter (mud catcher). I'm very interested in what you think of the performance when you get it on.

Why are you guys throwing so much money at old bbqs?

My gas grill is so much nicer. A lot closer to state of the art, too. No choke, er, vents to open or close or anything. And cooking with gas is so much more precise.

I'm sure there will always be those die-hards out there who say that gas just doesn't have the flavor of charcoal, but I disagree.

And gas pollutes the air far less than charcoal.

And yes, this was all written as an equivoque.

My charcoal is my daily cooker and I don't have the time or $$ to swap for a gas grill. The easiest way to get a gas grille is to go buy a Rubicon gas grille huh, no down time.

Is there an aftermarket that will pass emissions? My Dad wants to get rid of his carb. He isnt looking for preformance. He was in Corpus and someone mention a conversion where you switch intake manifold and it will still be legal.
