Well it's new to me. It is a 1988 4runner that many of you may have seen in the for sale listings. I am going to be picking brains for a while as I get this thing working/running a little better. I feel I got a pretty good deal on it even though it is a little rough around the edges.
My first question is what type of muffler sounds the best on the 22re with a header and aftermarket cat. It has a nasty leak and booger welds all around the muffler. I tink I just want to replace it and the low hanging tail pipe.
next question is how hard is it to replace the oil pan without dropping the axle or raising the engine? I need to replace the gasket because it is leaking oil. Is there any secrets to a successful replacement. I have done probably 6 of them on small blocks and only 1 or 2 have not leaked. Thanks.
