Currently have an 89 4wd pickup with the 6 cyl. I just went over and picked up a gauge cluster out of a 90 4 runner with the same engine but it has the tach and other gauges. I read somewhere that the oil pressure sending unit needs to be changed out otherwise the oil pressure gauge will get burnt up. Is this true?

If indeed you were a fool, you wouldnt have gotten your answer. The act of looking around and discovering the search feature shows that you have promise and just might be allowed to participate here in our discussions! LOL

I havent fried a guage yet...of mine, but was an accomplice to the failure of my lil brothers a few years ago. Uh-oh...what was that??
