Actually I really dig that chop, can you make it kawasaki green? As for the wheels and tires they are already spoken for, which is unfortunate cause I could really use em too.

Body Damage is Cool
Well here's what it would look like in green. I used two different shades of green from your amigo . Its just hard to make such a bright color look real.

Need a Spot
The story behind the Super Trooper as best as I can tell.

The original owner was in this general area as I remember seeing it in the local area when the thing was first built up in what, 92 or so?

Eventually Sebastian's buddy bought the thing, and has been the owner for the last few years. Every now and then the thing would show up in the parking lot at my condo complex. It looked a bit worse for wear each time. One day the trooper was towed and impounded for lack of current registration. At this time Sebastian made a deal to take over ownership for the price of the impound fees.

So now Sebastian has the vehicle, but has no way to part it out since he lives in a hostile condo association and I happen to know that Dallas is looking for some of these parts for a buggy. So I put these two together and they worked out a deal that works well for both.

Glad to see it getting pulled apart already. The less I have to do.

Dallas has some good ideas on how we are going to make his buggy nicer then mine. Easier to build too. We have been throwing some ideas back and forth and I am looking forward to starting on it. The suspension geometry will be pretty much the same, but we will have a better design for the link mounts on the frame, etc. You know all of those wonderful things you learn as you go. Oh yeah, and some adjustability on the antisquat.

Should be interesting to see how it all goes together.

But first we need to gets Steve's Bronco up and running. You guys have a good time in the shop, I'll be visiting with family that is in town.

ps. - You know Dallas, this could be a pretty cheap project since you can write off your time. Hmm, cost maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of what the Amigo swap cost you.

You know whats really sad is after adding it up in my head I'm betting this one will cost less than half what the amigo cost me. It'll have all the same drivetrain, plus link suspension, Air Shocks, cutting brakes, and a full tube chassis, and maybe actually be able to keep up with the current breed of competition rigs. The biggest things it will be missing are a sealable passenger compartment, heat, and Lisence plates, which are all of the greatest parts of the old rig.

Not a bad rig to model after. Brad and Roger didn't do to bad with that rig in Vernal, even with an engine swap days before the competition. Lookin' forward to seeing the evolution of your new Troop' !

Forget how they did in Vernal, they won the UROC series championship with that rig. Not too bad for their first year in the pro series. I was glad they won too. They are a couple of the nicest guys in rockcrawling, and they worked their butts off to get where they are.

I agree and not just because they are friends of mine and my wife. Roger has graciously offered to help me install my locker once I decide which I one want and throw in some free AMSOIL for good measure. I was just being a smartbutt with the Vernal comment. I have a few cool pics from UROC that Natalie Lovell sent me, I just cant remember where they are, probably on my PC that is in pieces as of yesterday or maybe at work.
