An s10 box may be the ticket. I'm pretty sure I remember reading about it somewhere when I was researching, but I'd snoop around to find out for sure. Oh and I love the steering wheel <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I figured this thing was gonna need a few little touches to really make it a trooper. The gas pedal and column internals aren't exactly recognizable, so I'm gonna use the wheel too, even though its HUGE for a buggy. I do plan on cutting the end of the column off and adding a quick release hub to it to make getting in and out easier.

Just 2 pictures today. I installed the now heavily modified trooper throttle pedal, and the rear shock mounts.

Summit delivered the exhaust parts I ordered yesterday and today I got most of the exhaust welded up. As I still dont have the drivers side manifold I only built half of the crossover pipe, but I should be able to finish in a couple days. I thought about building a header for the drivers side, but exhaust has never been something i've been good at, so since I have the room I'm just gonna use a stock manifold.

I also got bored and decided to tape the front clip in place to see how it fit. Obviously there will be a lot of trimming, especially on the bottom, but I'm pretty happy with the size and shape.

You can see how far forward the axle is in relation to the wheelwell. Luckily the tires should be well outside the sheetmetal at this point. Also notice how far back and how low the engine is mounted. This should get the weight really well centered and make it climb and handle great.

I'm planning on building a doghouse around the back of the motor instead of doing a full firewall, then running a couple pieces of lexan in the footwells. Should make for pretty awesome visiblity.
