"Baja Widetrack M/T's"... Anybody know who manufactures them? #638061 08/18/05 07:47 AM

Hey guys,
I purchased my truck with a set of tires called Baja Widetrack M/T's 33 X 12.5 X 15". Anyway, the front right tire (passenger) has a mismatch A/T tire on it due to the original, which I still have, having a nasty slice in the sidewall about 1" long.
Anyway, I am trying to find out who makes these tires so I don't have to purchase a whole new set of M/T's just so they all match. The closest thing I have come up with is a company called "Peerless" (which I beleive is owned by Bridgestone). The tread doesn't totally match, but they have the same name.

Now, number question number 2, as far as the M/T with the slice in it, I have it in my spares location as we speak, and it is obviously flat. Do you think I could get by with tubing it and leaving it as my spare? Pros and Cons?

they're made by Firestone.

that line(not sure if included MT) was among the recalled tires of a few years ago:

Well that is reassuring! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

I know that they still make them, I think they redisgned them, so hopefully I have the new ones, no matter, maybe I should go ahead and replace all of them just to be safe.

Thanks man, you may have saved my life and my families, literally! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Well after doing a little research, it looks like the recall was only for the Baja Widetrack A/T's not the M/T's. No matter, I still am going to go ahead and replace them I guess.
