A nose down tilt will also present more area.

Typicly more area gets you more drag.

There are a bunce of other factors but obvioulsy Clay is doing something right. I am curious what type of driving he is doing,is it mostly highway? How fast does he go? Tire brand and type, allignment settings etc.
