i save a ton of gas in cali because you have to drive 55 if you are towing a trailer. i-10 in az is 75 though, so it pretty much offsets the savings. but from blythe to redding, the mileage is pretty good.

without being an industry expert, I think you're right on with your most recent statement, Jim! The only other thing that I imagine directly affects the price we get charged at the pump is transportation cost (anyone been watching the prices on many things at the grocery store gradually and continually climb?).
