Well I've been working on my '85 for a while now and finally have it together enough to wheel again.
here is what's been done
waggy fronts, hi-steer, powersteer,IFS hub swap w/bigger brakes, electric fan, replace trans and clutch, chevy spring swap, IFS rear axle swap w/ rear disks, V6 1" master cyl and booster, make and install sliders, make rear bumper, and add long travel shocks.
here's a link to some pict's
Yota build

doesn't look like much, but darn if it didn't take forever...........Karl

Roll Me Over
Looks good man. Your pics just reminded me I need to put mud flaps on my rear to prevent getting pulled over.

I like what you've done, Karl! Especially the 4 wheel discs-- sweet! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Now let's see some pics of it all crossed up on a nasty trail.

How's your health been, btw? I haven't been on here in a while, and was kinda wondering when I saw your post.

Hopefully this weekend I'll have some wheelin Picts. as far as health goes, they(docs)say that I'm in remission. but I still need to go in for frequent tests(every 6 months) other than that I'm almost back to Normal(if I ever was Normal,haha)..............Karl

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Looks great! How hard was it to do the disc brake conversion in the rear?

The front's are FJ60 vented disks and the rear disks are stock '85 front disks. the rear conversion wasn't real hard, but took some fab. write up in the works.

I'm running 35" BFG MT's.........Karl
