Getting the Wheeling Fever
I know you guys prefer amsoil tranny fluid. I agree amsoil is one of the best tranny fluid. However I am going to switch to Mobil 1 ATF (fully synthetic) for my 2000 4Runner(4WD, SR5, automatic) since I've used Mobil oils for years.

I went to Autozone today trying to buy 4 qts. I asked the clerk to make sure the Mobil 1 ATF is safe for my truck even I've known it is (any Dextron III type should do). However the Autozone's system showed unknown type of tranny and I was instructed to consult Toyota dealer! That was weird!

Can anybody who used the Mobil ATF tell me how this tranny works with 4Runner? Thanks in advance.

I've used it in my '90 4Runner. No problems.

Might as well use Amsoil ATF. I've used it in my Vette, girl's '00 runner, a Lexus RX300 and my brothers WS6 Trans am. we love the stuff.
