I'm looking for specific type / brand / online source recommendations here for my 95.5 Rodeo. I absolutely refuse to support any of the local stealers around here.

I suspect that you are going to be disappointed with the responses, then. Most people here recommend the OEM pads. You do have the option, however, of ordering from St. Charles Automotive. You can do it by phone or email.

The prices are great, if you don't live in Missouri, there is no tax, and if UPS ground is good enough for you, the shipping is free.

If anyone makes a better pad than what you get from an Isuzu dealer, let me know. These things last a long time...much longer than the junk at the mass marketers.

OEM, hands down. I've averaged 70-80K miles with mine, easy.

Order them from st. charles. You get the mounting clips, anti squeal, all the goodies brand new for about 50 bucks an axle. Not to mention the Isuzu pads seem to go FOR-EV-ER......
I had bought the "OEM" pads from pep boys, and they were raybestos somethings or other, and cost 75 bucks. I returned them when I found out the Dealer pads cost much less.

I put cheapie pep boys brand rotors on with the OEM pads and everything is great. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I think I might follow the OEM advice here. I put front pads on my Rodeo and I can't get them to stop squeaking. I lubed the slides, put the anti-squeal gunk on em, turned the rotors......If OEM will be quieter, than I'm all over that.

About six months ago, I paid $85 for new rear brake pads at the local dealer. Of course I wasn't happy about paying such an outrageous amount of money for pads...then I realized that I got 180,000 miles out of the originals. No joke. They've never been changed, and my commute involves a ten mile stretch of curvey mountain roads. When I changed the pads, they weren't squeeling and they still had some meat on them. Good job Isuzu.

Yeah, I should have saved a few bucks by shopping at St. Charles. Oh well, next time.
