I know many of you never met Loki, but those of you that did will never forget him. He was my faithful trail buddy from the time he was two months old. Loki joined our family specifically to occupy the passenger seat during wheeling and he loved the trips. From his first time out to Moab at around 8 months old, to his last trip out in 2004 he was always a faithful companion, often running alongside the Amigo for the entire length of the trail.

Loki left us today, August 29th, 2005. He was in the pen with Guiness, "his" puppy when he got his front legs stuck in the fence. I'm not sure how it happened, but he passed away with his front legs stuck between two boards. I didn't get home until dark so I need to look closer once I get some light. Loki will go to his rest outside the fence, before the trees on our property. It was a tough decision for where he would lay, but this ranch has been his home for most of his life and by keeping him here he can always remain close to our hearts and live in our memories.

So for those of you who remember my doofy dog, my stinky dog, my sausage dog and above all my faithful companion in life, please take a few moments and imagine the joy he will be experiencing running alongside a white Amigo on the trail in doggie heaven.
