Aw, hell, Kevin, that's horrible. Loki was a great dog, a good trail buddy, and a great friend -- your best friend.

I definitely looked forward to seeing him whenever you came to Moab -- it was fun watching him grow up and become a better and better friend.

The best thing about our dogs is how much they love us; the worst part is how short a time they can stay with us. I'm a little fuzzy on what happens after people pass on, and this ain't the right place for it, regardless, but I will speculate that when Loki made it to the other side, there was a friendly black muzzle on the other side to welcome him. I hope Gozar and Midnight, my boys, are helping him settle in.

I'll remember Loki with a smile, and I'll be thinking of you, Kevin, hoping the best for you, Patty, and Guinness. You have Kammy, Randy, and Turbo's love and best wishes.
