Well finished product looks pretty good, the "universal" brackets had to be drilled for new holes, i mounted the fan to the stock mounting holes on the radiator...no pics of intalled fan yet...

I got my painless wiring fuse block today, just as i was installing the fan, but decided ill install it a bit later.

The issue of wiring the fan to the ignition was pretty simple, i got a wiring schematic from the Toyota dealer the day before and piggybacked the ignition wire from the fan to the black wire with the yellow stripe in the engine bay fuse box, which is exposed where the harness plugs to the box...this wire is ignition hot and is continuous with the ignition fuse inside the cab.

When i install the painless kit ill splice into the 14 gauge wire already hooked up and add my accessory wiring as i go.

Little side note, it's well below freezing here in southeast idaho so the fan doesnt actually turn on even while idling unless i turn the air conditioning on and pull the throttle cable upto 3000rpm.

The air conditioning signal wire is not hooked up yet, it will be piggybacked to the AC compressor plug wire as soon as i determine if it is a positive or negative signal that turns it on... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
