The Lincoln has an AOD. It is setup for a 2wd (Long output shaft) The output will have to be cut or swapped to the short style for use w/ a xfer case. I am doubtful that the BII tranfer case will bolt to the AOD (Not sure). You may have to get a transfer case from a 5.0L Explorer. (Shame too, if you had a 5.0L Explorer would have everything you need plus the 4R70W elect trans instead of the AOD.
(The AOD is a non electric version of the 4r70W/AODE. The AOD is not the first choise for reliability. But the 4R70w and AODE are good ones.)
