Here's a question that may or may not have been asked, but could a forest fire cause a drop in gas mileage?? I live out in the country, and we've got a few fires burning right now and the air is just thick w/ smoke! It almost looks like fog when you're going down a road. I'm curious because I thought I was going to hit about 19mpg, but that quickly went up in smoke when I looked at my gas gauge! Is the truck having trouble breathing???(kinda like the rest of us )

Thanx!

There is not as much O2 in the air with all the smoke so it is possible or your foot got heaver to get you out of the smoke!!!! Check your air cleaner also, the smoke may be thicker that you think and the AC is getting clogged and you are running rich causing more smoke!!!!
