Personally I've given up faith in newer Toyotas. I own a 1984 Supra (been in family since new) and it is a beast! 200K and it's all original just about. My '94 is a Brutus, sucker is tougher than rusty nails.. my girlfriend's 2000 Limited 4runner is a POS. been at the dealer 3x's in less than 1yr and the service dept at Toyota sucks. cocky, expensive and overall incompetent in work I think. All they know how to do is read codes.. well shiznit, I could of gone to Autozone for free to get a code read you morons! Your problem sounds complicated... I think a For Sale sign would fix it.. that's my attitude with newer cars. My new methodoligy is... buy a new cheap(er)car with a 5-6yr 50K-60K warranty (at least) and keep it for the warranty period.. when the warranty is up, if it's not giving problems.. keep it, if it is... new car time. It really makes sense to do that with newer cars. Everytime we go the Yota dealer with my girlfriends POS it's a $300+ bill. That's more than a monthly car payment on a new car with a full warranty. and we've been 3x's in 9 months. Sorry to hear your problem, but I'm just being honest with ya. My mom bought a new '05 Corolla S b/c it was 16g's out the door with a 6yr warranty and my dad bought a '06 Subaru baja b/c it was 21G's out the door with a 5yr/60k warrnty!
