Aisin or Superwinch hubs? #647351 09/15/05 11:17 PM

My 1986 Montero has Aisin hubs, it has sat nearly two years, waiting on my son to pay to repair it. My 1988 Raider has Superwinch hubs. Since I drive the Raider, should I switch the Aisin hubs to it, and put the Superwinch hubs on the Montero? Would I gain anything by doing this?

I wouldn't waste my time. They are both good hubs.

I prefer Aisins personaly, they are nice and beefy. Besides they look much nicer on a Monty than Superwinch' do. I have an idea, trade me the Aisins for my Superwinch' and then you and your son can have matching hubs

A fellow who runs a landscape company on my route told me to keep an eye out for him a cheap 4x4 vehicle...so I mentioned the Montero. He is coming to look at it on Sunday. I have emailed him photos and told him what it needs to have done.

So your son's truck may be leaving? I guess it is your personal preference. If it were me I would find a set of Autos to put on the one that would be sold and keep the aisins and the Superwinch. Install the aisins, then use the Superwinch for emergency backups.

Yes I did. They're not bad hubs, I just prefer the factory hubs

If you want a set of free auto hubs, let me know. Aisin hubs are difficult to find. You may want to keep them.
