CMH, My fan used to do the same thing. I just left the switch alone, and it would come back on by itself in a minute or so. After a couple of times, it hasn't done it any more (knock on wood). Good luck, J


Mine did the same last year. It would cut off for a few minutes. It would come back on after a while if I didn't fool with the switch. It's been working ok this year.


Mine did this a total of about 6 times in the last 12 months and always came back after 10 seconds.........
Last time it did it was 10 days ago and it still will not work. From what I have read the resistor is probably not bad as you usually only loose one speed at a time. I read a post that said the fan connection can come loose and I will try that tomarrow.
