it has nothing to do with the time between subscribing and the time you get the first issue.

many of us subscribed months ago, but are just now getting the first issue because there weren't any issues until now.
the issue everyone is talking about is the fist issue (Sep/Oct) of the magazine.

as stated above, it was shipped via bulk mail, so it will be a little random when it comes (between 4 and 14 days from some day last week).

just got mine yesterday, too (though i subscribed months ago). exactly when you will get it is a little bit luck of the draw. it'll be coming soon, though.
