Ok well I am working on my front end today and stupid me I tapped the race in upside down into the knuckle. How should I go about getting it out now? Can I heat the surrounding area up and see if I can get it to slide out or what?

if you heat the surrounding area it will expand and not the bearing race. try to find a bearing puller from a local shop or something and get it out

could try putting it in the freezer for a few hours... though from what i remember about my races is they are a little tighter then that.. but cooling em off that much would help and it would be easyer to tap out.

I cant take them out to put them in a freezer though lol. I think im gonna have to get a punch and basically destroy the race to get it out. How much can I expect to pay for a new race/bearing?

Need a Spot
this is how we do it where i work,if bearing is in wrong.
take a small paper cup, fill it with water put a small piece
of would in the middle and freeze it.heat outside of part that has the race in it,when hot, take cup off your
newly made cicle, run it around the inside of the race.
if the fit isn't to,to tight you may be able to get it out.
works on airplane engines.
