Bob, I will throw my $.02 in. Where we will, Lockers are nice, but I don't have one yet, and haven't found a place I actually NEEDED it. Sure there are obsticles that I choose to avoid because I don't have it, but I haven't been limited on a trail due to a locker. There are trails I won't go on that require a locker, but they also are high probability of body damage on those trails.

The Tera Low's, and have been very happy with them. Unlike a locker, the Lows help in almost every situation. You get to go down hills slower(which when you have steps or ledges comes in very handy) You get to crawl a little slower uphill, which is never a bad thing.

Although a locker is very nice, I have found that in our conditions for wheeling, traction usually isn't an issue. We don't have a lot of mud, and the loose rock we get is offset by larger rocks. If we had more mud, I would say the locker, but due to hill climbs, and traction we get I would say Tera Low's.
