I was brainstorming last night and a Katrina kit me! I needed a bearing removal tool for a specific pinion bearing used on the 86~95 models. I was short a lathe and a milling tool.....so I thought of a way to use a 2.25" bi-metal hole saw and a drill press to drill the main center hole and also to mill out 2 steps to clear the bearing profile. Randys sells a nice set-up for about 350....this costs about 10 for the separator and 15 for the hole saw. Bearing separators usually can't capture the bearing evenly all the way around....the end result has been, in my case, a distorted/bent/damaged separator. This took over 2 hours....nawing away at the metal....wearing it down. It's just kinda cool and I wanted to share.............
