Did somebody used the diff drop kit on a 2 gen Rodeo ? Please share the experience. How difficult is the installation process (time, skill level, custom fabrications necessity) ?
Does the R&P steering must be touched in the installation ?
Does it make sence to combine the kit installation with ARB front locker installation, or the installation processes are unrelated ?
How much better the CV angles are ?
Thanks !

1)Bigpoppax2 is going to do it to his 2nd gen before uwharrie.Custom fabing would include making the brackets if they are different than 1st gens.I would set aside a weekend to do this.
2)Nope
3)I would do all of it at the same time since most of the same parts will need to be taken loose.
4)Don't know yet

I have a set of brackets that I will be sending out to Joe next week to install and test for me.
Joe A little old lady once asked me why I have those big heavy bumpers on my truck, I responded "if I bump into something, I win!!" "BTW, I did bump into a Chev Minvan at about 30 MPH...it lost!"

Any updates on this? Off-hand I had always just assumed 1st gen and 2nd gen Rodeos used the same brackets... is that not the case

I deliverd the prototype brackets to Bigpappax2 this weekend at Uwharrie. I heard him say he'd probably get them in this winter to test them out Andre

As soon as I can make up my mind as to locking the front or not I'll tear into the front end. I have a 4.77 front third to install, along with a 4.77 disc braked D44 that will probably end up with a Aussie locker.
I'll snap pictures and report back when I get into this.

Ok, better late than never I have done the diff drops on mine. I also installed a 4.77 front third and an ARB at the same time. There's no sense having to drop the front end more than once. I got my 4.77 rear end installed with an Aussie locker as well.
Tad, Joel(spacecab90), and I did the install at Uwharrie last Thursday and the only issue that I ran into was the diff was awefully hard to get back into position.
We ended up cutting a 45 degree angle off the bottom of the drivers side bracket. This allowed for some more clearance needed to get thing up and bolted on.
I'll snap some shots tonight and get them up. I have enough t-bar crank to clear 285's and my cv's are basically flat. Very nice to see flat cv's again.

That sounds great! I've pretty much gotten all the parts I need to regear with 4.77's also. Only thing left is to buy rear ARB. Joe D is making me up a set of diff drop brackets and crossbar mod. Maybe you guys should all come to Memphis for Music Fest or BBQ Contest....and just a little wrenchin!
